This short compilation video contains a few individual shots, all of which highlight train #993. An Amtrak executive special, along with heritage units #145 & #822 as it travels through various locations in northern New Mexico. Recorded over July 12 - 13, 2,014.
Shot 1: During a light rain storm, Amtrak's eastbound Southwest Chief #4 makes an appearance in Canyoncito, NM. This particular train features the 4 car special attached to the rear, as well as 5 locomotives as power: 145 leading with 822, 192, 163, and 48 trailing.
Shot 2: Here's a glimpse of the same eastbound train as before making its way downgrade, through a set of operational semaphore signals and into the small community of Chapelle, NM.
Shot 3: Taken the previous evening: July 12, bound for Albuquerque, NM seen here is Amtrak's #993 as it proceeds west towards Rowe, NM, as a train all its own.
